The Regional Historical Museum, housed in the old railway station, documents the lives of the Welsh settlers who colonized the area in the 19th century. There are several Welsh Protestant churches, including Bethel Chapel. Did you know that there are Welsh towns in Patagonia, Argentina?! In today's video, we take a day trip to Gaiman in the province of Chubut, a town that was founded in 1874 by some of the first settlers in arrive to Argentina. We have lunch at a cosy pub, visit a few museums, hike through an old railroad tunnel, and of course, enjoy a delicious Welsh afternoon tea complete with scones, cream pie and Welsh cake!
