The Grand Canyon Railway is a great little trip to take in Williams Arizona | Route 66 Road Relics

For many years, accessing Grand Canyon was very difficult and not for the faint hearted. By 1901, a railroad track was completed to the canyon and a train provided visitors with an alternate mode of transportation. It would replace the eight-hour stagecoach ride from Flagstaff. The train was operated by the Santa Fe Railroad, who eventually began to build structures on the South Rim to accommodate the growing number of visitors. Eventually, the Fred Harvey Company was hired to manage hotels and
