1956 BSA Gold Star DBD34 (499cc single) kickback and start-up. This is Lana's first time starting Dave's BSA Gold Star. Full credit to her too, on the day she started every Gold Star we had in the workshop! The Goldie kicks back if it's not slightly over top dead centre before you kick it. 1959 BSA Gold Star DBD34 (499cc single cylinder engine). Bike has an RRT2 gearbox installed. This video was taken by Dave Mitchell the day Peter (owner and rider) picked up his bike from the workshop. Peter hadn't ridden the bike for 17 years since the bike was taken off the road. We recently tore down the 1959 BSA Gold Star DBD34 (499cc single cylinder engine). The bike had the RRT2 gearbox and in this video you'll see it being run through the gears.
