Amid sunny skies and with ideal river conditions, CDFW this week successfully released approximately 500,000 juvenile salmon into the Klamath River below the Iron Gate Dam. After 11 atmospheric river storms hit California over three months, water levels at Lake Oroville in Butte County, California’s second-biggest reservoir, dramatically improved. In the first image, the lake was at just 29% of its capacity. In the second image, the level had jumped to 51%. And by the third photo, the figure was up to 75%.
