Nov 1, 2021 · I recently updated to Windows 11. I have a LG 34 inch ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio, 2560x1080 resolution). Windows 11 selects the generic Pnp monitor driver, which has a max 1920x1080 resolution, so the screen is fuzzy and stretched out - really unusable.

Feb 2, 2021 · The aspect ratio of a 3,840 x 2,160 monitor is 16:9, while the aspect ratio of a 2,560 (which is what I think you mean) x 1,080 monitor is 21:9. That explains the stretching. 2,850 x 1,080 is something of an oddball resolution. 2,560 x 1,080 is more prevalent (because it corresponds more closely to 21:9 which is a common resolution for ultrawides.)

Nov 30, 2022 · I have 2 different computers connected to my monitor. My newer Dell computer is connected to HDMI 1. It has 2 Display Port outputs, exclusively. No other video port options. I am using a Display Port adapter connected to an HDMI cable. That setup worked and displayed wide screen resolution without fail since the first day I connected my computer.

Dec 5, 2018 · When I connect the monitor with a Mini-Display to HDMI cable the monitor works flawlessly at the maximum resolution. But if i use the exact same cable to connect the monitor using the Surface Dock, it doesn't work at all. Looks like it recognize the device, but there's nothing I could do it to have the monitor working at any resolution.
