Webcams with views of MBTA lines - RAILROAD.NET
Jan 10, 2025 · I realize that the MBTA is not going to provide that function or allow others to use its property for such (God forbid), but it seems somewhat surprising that there aren't a few enthusiasts who would have found a way to set up views at a few locations of interest.

23 hours ago · My advice; don't put all your eggs in one basket. If you'd prefer a job out in the field (as opposed a desk job in an office building somewhere) put in for the MBTA lottery, apply at MBCR (or whoever is running the Commuter Rail when you graduate), take the civil service test (both fire and police) and definitely consider the military.

3 days ago · There was an audio sample page on the MBTA website maybe about a decade ago, but it's been gone for at least 5 years. As far as re-releasing them, the MBTA owns the rights to the announcements as they were recorded from an actual person (and the text to speech robovoice that comes after is also copyrighted), so you definitely don't want to do that.

I believe 1301 was wrecked at Tower or Great Rd in Lincoln and that control car 1651 was ordered to replace that car. If the story is correct that the 1648 was wrecked on it's what to the MBTA, then the 1652 would be it's replacement. SOMEONE has to have the answer...
