Feb 8, 2024 · Located at the far eastern side of Bhaktapur Durbar Square at the end of the Palace of 55 Windows is the Siddhi Lakshmi Temple, a favorite of many visitors. It's also known as Lohan Dega, Siddhi Lakshmi, Siddhi Laxmi, or simply Stone Temple.

4 days ago · Siddhi Laxmi temple of Bhaktapur Durbar Square is also called Lohan Dega, the stone temple. It was first positioned by King Jagat Prakash Malla on the southeast side of 55 windowed palaces. The temple is as beautiful as the Vatsala Durga temple but undoubtedly has more guardians.

By the south eastern corner of the 55 window palace stand the Shikhara style stone Siddhi Laxmi temple also known as Lohan Dega. The steps up to the temple are flanked by male and female attendants each leading a rather reluctant child and a rather eager –looking dog.

The temple was errected in 1664 and inaugurated by the then king of Patan. Unfortunately all sculptures of the temple were stolen during the last few decades.
