The 2025 OLED Monitor Thread (5K Ultrawide?) - [H]ard|Forum
Nov 29, 2014 · This will be the perfect monitor for me.. I was just kinda forced into a new monitor since my 2018 Alienware 34" ultrawide died, and def wanted a larger OLED and went with the current LG 45" OLED UW monitor. I just got it in last week and …
27" 240hz OLED Monitor!!! (but there's a catch...) - [H]ard|Forum
May 17, 2020 · IF (240hz AND oled AND 1440p) THEN it's a excellent debut price for a more affordable desktop OLED monitor, the next cheapest was the Asus ProArt OLED at several thousand dollars. I still remember my parents paying THIS much (inflation adjusted) for a 27" CRT TV back in the Nintendo / VHS days.
LG 48GQ900 OLED monitor - text clarity? - [H]ard|Forum
Jan 9, 2023 · I also like anti-glare coating and its main reason why I got this monitor rather than an OLED TV. In my room with my lighting conditions there is absolutely no reflection of any kind under any situation I tested monitor in. Especially important when sitting very close to monitor during gaming sessions. AG coating itself is the same as eg.
Using an OLED as a PC Monitor; worth it? - [H]ard|Forum
Apr 1, 2008 · Basically, the current crop of LG OLED TVs are too good to even consider using as a "lowly" PC monitor. Joking aside, as others have said, size is probably the biggest downfall. If 48" is too big for you, you won't be happy with a CX 48.
Will there be a 38" UW OLED in 2024? - [H]ard|Forum
Dec 10, 2023 · I'm not holding my breath for a Glossy 4K 240Hz Adaptive-Sync RGB-OLED Monitor for the next 2 years. There aren't many advantages RGB-OLED has over QD-OLED & W-OLED when it comes to gaming which highly convince TCL (CSoT) to cut motherglass for those panels as soon as possible coupled with TCL's poor track records of delivering what they've …
OLED yellow vertical edge artifacts - [H]ard|Forum
Jan 21, 2023 · The OLED monitor displays an annoying visual artifact that I noticed right away. It is most obvious when a yellow box is displayed on a white background (for example when highlighting text). There is a bright red vertical line on the left side of the box and a bright green vertical line on the right side.
LG 45″ OLED Ultrawide 5120 x 2160@165Hz 45GX990A and …
Feb 25, 2013 · OLED is actually the true successor to CRT not TN-VA-IPS LCDs. Imagine getting an OLED during 2006-2009 when CRT starting to disappeared. Crysis 1, Far Cry 2, BioShock, TES 4: Oblivion, 1st AC would've looked helluva lot better back then if you first experienced it on OLEDs instead of LCDs.
Need screensaver-like app for OLED screen refresh - [H]ard|Forum
Feb 3, 2007 · OLED monitors come with screen and/or pixel refresh features, but to be on extra safe side, I'd like to lock my PC and have it use refresher-like screensaver instead of display showing static login/lock screen. I think many typical screensavers can suffice, but aren't some designed specifically...
48" 4K OLED Monitor Thread - [H]ard|Forum
Aug 31, 2002 · The LG OLED TV models are also an option if you disable automatic static brightness limiter from the service menu. Pretty much all of these are the same thing - same LG TV panels, varying firmware and port features. If you've been using a 43" monitor, I'd aim at the 42" OLED models instead. They are a more practical size for a desktop unit.
