Attention Illinois beer drinkers: You'll soon be able to sip on beer from Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the United States, but you'll have to get through the holidays first.

POTTSVILLE — Yuengling beer will soon be available in more than half of the country, but its chief administrator says there’s currently no plan to go nationwide.

Yuengling beer will be available in Michigan starting Aug. 11, with Detroit among the initial cities. A full list of locations and availability dates across the state has yet to be announced.
