The New York Jets were defeated 13-6 by the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. The Jets (0-7) remained winless and headed towards potentially earning the No. 1 overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft. With that, here are three things we learned from the Jets' loss to the Panthers:

Veteran wideout Tyler Lockett requested, and was granted, his release from the Tennessee Titans on Monday evening. Lockett could sign with another team as soon as Wednesday.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Mark Robinson has been cut by the New York Jets, the team announced. Robinson joined the team after being signed off the New England Patriots’ practice squad.

The New York Jets stacked up another loss in Week 7, this time against the Carolina Panthers. At MetLife Stadium, the Jets (0-7) failed to put up offense and even though an opponent, once again, didn't do well offensively either, New York could not capitalize. The Panthers (4-3) took home a 13-6 win.
