Early iterations of the new Disney+ Marvel series were not planning to bring back two of the Netflix Daredevil series' most important characters.

As part of an exclusive sneak peek at Daredevil: Born Again, showrunner Dario Scardapane tells Entertainment Weekly he sees the two seasons as telling one continuous story. "We've got some new stuff going on," he says. "This season is really kind of Part 2 of season 1, so it allows us to go into bigger and different places."

In the official clip, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), aka Daredevil, and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), aka Kingpin, challenge each other over coffee. The duo sit in a dark diner, near a window that reveals a gloomy cityscape.
