Westfield’s 13-Year-Old All-Stars opened the Babe Ruth Baseball New England Regionals with a bang, shutting out Essex (Vermont), 14-0, July 26 at Wahconah Park in Pittsfield.

PITTSFIELD — Dave Roy said he and his Rochester, N.H., Babe Ruth team are excited to be in Pittsfield. "A beautiful ballpark. An historic ballpark," the manager of the 13-year-olds All-Star team said.
