The city of Richmond is inviting neighboring localities to discuss the future of the region’s drinking water system.

Richmond Mayor Danny Avula has invited neighboring counties to join the city in planning the future of the region’s drinking water system with the goal of forming a regional advisory group.

"We are coming together for honest dialogue, shared problem-solving and meaningful action," the mayor said in a Friday news release.
