In the midst of a scorching hot month, ESPNs MLB insider Jeff Passan has listed the Blue Jays as the "best fit" for Pirates right-handed Mitch Keller.

His postseason experience and track record could significantly benefit the Blue Jays rotation down the stretch. It will be interesting to see if Toronto decides to target him.

The Blue Jays landed Loperfido in the Yusei Kikuchi trade with the Houston Astros last July, so it would be an odd full-circle moment for the youngster to be dealt for a second year in a row, as Toronto has flipped from sellers to buyers in a year's time.

ESPN's Jeff Passan proposes that the Blue Jays attempt to bolster their starting rotation by pursuing this veteran pitcher

"Eugenio Suarez has hit more than twice as many home runs (36) as Toronto's leader (George Springer at 17) and would be the slugging source that the Blue Jays have been lacking," Miller wrote. "Almost just as importantly, though, acquiring Suárez keeps the Yankees from doing so."
