But in 1999, Vikings fans were particularly devastated. The Atlanta Falcons beat the Minnesota Vikings 30-27 in overtime. The Denver Broncos ended up beating the Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII.

This one hurt. Bad. After going 15-1 in the 1998 regular season, the Vikings lost to Atlanta in overtime, 30-27, in the NFC Championship game on Jan. 17, 1999.
