Area women place 2nd, 4th, 8th in events at NCAA outdoor track championships
Michaela Rose, who grew up in Suffolk and was in her final season for LSU, held the lead on the backstretch of the 800-meter run but eventually finished fourth in 1 minute, 59.47 seconds. It was her 13th All-American nod and ninth first-team honor, according to LSU. Her efforts helped the Tigers place 13th with 20 points.
