Originally, the Hulk was supposed to turn grey in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But ultimately the visual effects team decided to appease the people, and keep him green.

Hulk's fate in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was modified in response to speculation that Marvel was setting up a solo movie for the superhero.

When Hulk flew away at the end of ’Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ it was supposed to be towards an earthbound location. That has changed.

Because, now the consensus is that the grey Hulk will appear in the movie… When first appearing, the Hulk was grey. But problems with printing that colour, saw the character turn green.

The Marvel Gods blessed us with a new "Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer and they did not disappoint.

Age of Ultron, on the other hand, was pretty much just a movie. A sequel movie, at that; the film opened not quite as huge as The Avengers, and grossed significantly less.

That's where the Age of Ultron comes in. People complained about how much content Whedon stuffed in this film, but the ripple effects from it all are still reverberating throughout the MCU.
