The newly designed branding makes an obvious nod to the City of Roses with a single rose and petals that extend to resemble flames.

The Portland Fire have officially returned to the Rose City and fans gathered outside the Moda Center on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the return of the WNBA.

“The demand for women’s basketball has never been higher, and we are thrilled to welcome Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia to the WNBA family,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said.
