Lightyear is — and Chris Evans cannot stress this enough — NOT about Buzz Lightyear the toy. It’s the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on.

Once you accept that this movie has almost nothing to do with “Toy Story,” you’re in for an entertaining, if lackluster, Pixar adventure about real boy Buzz Lightyear (Chris Evans), out June 17.
