The Anne Arundel County Police Department celebrated a milestone Wednesday in graduating its 100th academy class.

Erica Vaaler was one of 19 recruits to take the oath of office and graduate from the Anne Arundel County Police Academy.

The Phoenix Police Department has a new police chief. Three finalists were announced for the position in June.
