Disk volumes may be identified by either their assigned drive letter or volume name. By default, disk volumes installed on your computer are named Local Disk in the Windows 7 operating system.

Once there, you will see a screen with various settings, but what we care about is the section that starts with Local Disk (C:), as shown below. File categories using space on the C: drive.

The c-drive is only one of the volumes. There are other volumes that are used by the operation system, so be very careful when selecting the volume to clean and/or reformat. Stay protected!

Step 2 – You will come up with a box showing Local Disk C Properties. Click on ‘Disk Cleanup’. The rest is the same as Step 3, Step 4, and Step 5 mentioned above.

If your hard disk space is slowly filling up, freeing up some space is needed. Start with finding the biggest or largest files on Windows 11/10.

Is there software that can extend the C drive partition on one disk to unallocated space on a different disk? I know if you have two partions on the same disk it can be done (C and D on Disk 0 ...
