Kenneth McKellar, who died on April 9 aged 82, was a lyric tenor and among the most popular of Scotland's singers, recording both classical and popular music.
Kenneth McKellar was born, the son of a grocer, in Paisley, Renfrewshire on 23 June 1927. His father enjoyed opera and Gilbert and Sullivan and the young boy developed a liking for music.
