Cut into eight equally sized rolls and place them on the prepared baking tray. Prick each roll with a fork and brush with the egg wash. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden.

The percentage of meat in sausage rolls is often even lower than in burgers and there may be more chemical additives. The meat can be up to 50 per cent fat added to which is a layer of fatty pastry.
