Patrick Kane scored in overtime to lift the Wings past the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, kicking off a four-game stand at Little Caesars Arena with a 3-2 victory. The Wings (18-18-4) won their fifth straight game and reached 40 points, but the Senators remained a point ahead at 41.

He’s been rejuvenated since Todd McLellan took over as Detroit Red Wings coach and on Monday was named the NHL’s third star of the week after collecting six points (two goals, four assists) in three games. It’s the first time this season a Red Wing has been among the league’s weekly three stars.
