Stephen Colbert has returned to the stage in New York for his first full program after CBS announced it was canceling his “Late Show” next May.
Sandra Oh criticized CBS and Paramount during her appearance on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' on July 21 after its cancellation was announced. The network said it was "a financial decision," but the news came days after Colbert criticized Paramount for its $16 million settlement with President Donald Trump.
Show' host, who started his Monday broadcast addressing his ‘Late Show’ counterpart’s cancellation, also posted on social media last week about the news.
Monday night's (July 21) show also featured kiss cam-style pop-ins from supportive fellow talkers Anderson Cooper, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart and Adam Sandler.
Trump called for his late-night foes Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon to have their shows canceled, saying the hosts are "destroying" the genre.
