Ashley Hunt, former ‘American Idol’ alum, is opening Songbirds Wine Bar in Charlotte with live music, Black-owned wines, and a space for independent artists.

The wine bar and shop at 219 E. Erie St. recently closed. Vino Third Ward first opened in 2008, and Brendan Moore became the owner in December 2024. Its liquor license was renewed Feb. 19, 2025.
