Madison Chock and Evan Bates, two-time defending ice dance world champs, were competing on Jan. 25 at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

They train at the new Michigan Ice Dance Academy, run by Charlie White, his wife, Tanith (née Belbin), and Greg Zuerlein (Madison Chock’s former partner).

White married Tanith Belbin, who was the 2006 Olympic silver medalist in ice dance with partner Ben Agosto, in 2015. They welcomed a son, Charlie, in 2017.
