Canton McKinley football coach Antonio Hall has informed his team he is resigning from that position, the school and Canton City School District announced in a news release Thursday.

Mentor was coming off a 33-0 shutout win over Strongsville, while Canton McKinley (8-5) edged out Massillon Jackson in a 35-32 victory in which both squads combined for 765 yards of offense.

Overall, McKinley is 44-28 in the playoffs, with the 44 wins tying for 36th in state history according to OHSAA records. Only Massillon has more postseason victories among Stark County teams with 58.
