Colorado Parks and Wildlife is crediting the use of life jackets as a reason for survival, as four people were safely rescued from Rampart Reservoir on Sunday afternoon.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife credited life jackets as the reason that four paddle boarders who were knocked into the water at Rampart Reservoir are safe.

"Having the life jacket on kept them above the water, kept them floating long enough for rescue personnel to get on scene," the firefighter said of the rescue.
