BOONSBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — The National Road Museum is getting ready for its Saturday rededication, showcasing the rich history of U.S. Route 40 from Maryland to the Illinois-Missouri border.
Following 12 years of effort and anticipation, the National Road Museum in Boonsboro will have a public “soft open” on Dec. 14 and 15.
Trolley Station Museum to open The Boonsboro Trolley Station Museum (1902-1938), at 220 N. Main St. in Boonsboro, will be open to visitors Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority, the National Road Heritage Foundation is on schedule to open its museum in Boonsboro by November of 2018.
