The Fruit Union Suisse is 111 years old. For most of its history, it has had as its symbol a red apple with a white cross—the Swiss national flag superimposed on one of its most common fruits.
Apple is reportedly attempting to gain IP rights to images of apples in Switzerland. This could result in a 111-year-old fruit company being forced to change its logo.
Now according to Wired, Apple is continuing a six-year fight against Fruit Union Suisse, an association that has been promoting the interests of Swiss fruit growers for over 100 years.
