“Alphaville” is pure pop in the form of gritty vérité — shot on high-speed, black-and-white film almost entirely at night and largely in the then-new Paris business district La Défense.

The 1965 Jean-Luc Godard science fiction film 'Alphaville,' starring Eddie Constantine and Anna Karina, is rereleased. It doesn't seem to have dated at all.
