The 1968-69 season got off to a slow start, the Lakers losing three of their first four games before getting on track. And even when they started winning, they were still adjusting.
For the season, Unseld scored 7.6 ppg (ninth on the team) and yanked down 11.9 rpg (10th in the NBA). During his 13-year NBA career, all with the Bullets, Unseld piled up many accomplishments.
But back in the 1967-1968 NBA season, ... Bing, when he became scoring champ in 1968, became the first guard in NBA history since it’s inception in 1946. That’s 22 years.
On Oct. 16, 1968, the Milwaukee Bucks stepped on the court at what was then called the Milwaukee Arena to take on the Chicago Bulls in the first NBA home game played in Milwaukee since 1955.
