The Tennessee Titans will give rookie quarterback Cam Ward most of the work running the first-team offense in training camp even as they hold off announcing the No. 1 overall draft pick their starter.

With Will Levis out for shoulder surgery, rookie QB Cam Ward came into Titans camp Wednesday and took all the first-team reps.

While the Titans surely want him to hit the ground running and turn in a dominant rookie campaign, his ability to fully live up to his potential over the course of the long-term future is more important. That might mean taking things a bit slow at the start of his first training camp in the NFL.
