Afro-rock band Osibisa have confirmed that founding member, singer and saxophonist Teddy Osei has died aged 88.

The album got to Number 11 on the UK chart and made it to Number 55 in the US – Osibisa’s best-ever chart position on both sides of the Atlantic. And Osei is proud of what they achieved.

Osibisa has performed in far flung corners of the globe. One of the highlights is a major tour of India, which resulted in a No.1 Gold Album — an unprecedented achievement for a Western band.
