Tennessee has sent 160 National Guard troops to Washington, D.C., as President Donald Trump and the White House continue to push their crime fighting directive.

Critics have accused Trump of manufacturing an emergency to seize greater control of Washington and target Democratic cities.

The number of troops in the city is expected to grow. But Army officials appear to be trying to keep them on the sidelines of President Trump’s mission.
