An interim trade deal between India and the United States is likely to be finalised in the next 48 hours, with negotiations underway in Washington, sources told NDTV on Thursday.

India has informed the World Trade Organisation of its plan to impose retaliatory tariffs on US goods. This action is a response to the US raising tariffs on certain Indian-made automobiles and auto parts.
