Donald Trump is pulling the United States out of another international body as he continues to pursue his “America first” foreign policy. The US will no longer be a part of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), which was set up after the second world war to promote peace around the world.
The foreign ministers of 25 Western nations have slammed Israel for “drip feeding” aid into the Gaza Strip, as the health ministry in the territory said that more than 1,000 people have been killed seeking humanitarian relief there since late May.
In a speech on renewable energy, António Guterres cited “clear market distortion” in favor of fossil fuels by President Trump and others but called the transition to cleaner energy economically inevitable.
