The amphitheater behind Helen Keller's home, Ivy Green, serves as the set for the play that is the fabric of Tuscumbia.

Keller's story of overcoming adversity was popularized by "The Miracle Worker,” which solidified her fame in the US as an enduring symbol of perseverance and inspiration.

She also toured with “The Miracle Worker” and “The Skin of Our Teeth” as part of President John K. Kennedy’s cultural exchange program before joining the Seattle Repertory Theatre in 1966.
