Red and blue colors contrast beautifully with each other and once you add white to the mix, you have a lovely color combination that will continue to look great once the fireworks have faded.

If your annual flowers aren't exploding with celebratory fireworks of color right now, it may be lack of fertilizer.

May I suggest a mixture of dwarf red pentas, low-growing white flowered zinnias and blue spreading torenia. If you get it started now all should be in full bloom by the Fourth of July.
