While Aldrich is young for PGA Tour standards overall he is particularly young relative to South African standards. By earning his win at his current age Aldrich became the youngest winner on Tour ever from South Africa. Previously Garrick Higgo held that mark with a win at the age of 22 back during the 2021 season.

DETROIT — Aldrich Potgieter made an 18-foot birdie putt on the fifth playoff hole, outlasting Max Greyserman to win the Rocket Classic on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title. The 20-year-old from South Africa is the youngest player on the tour and its biggest hitter. He became the ninth player to win for the first time this season.
