Seven Newport News City Jail inmates were arraigned on attempted escape charges this week after an incident in which several of them walked out of their jail cells.

A resident of Newport News told WAVY 10 that is is most difficult to breath in the summer due to the mix of coal dust and pollen. Jones, a former marine, said he is marching on.
