The New Year's Day football games 2025 schedule features three contests, and all three are College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchups.

The quarterfinal round of the new 12-team College Football Playoff begins Tuesday night, New Year's Eve, with No. 3 Boise State taking on No. 6 Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The winner advances to the CFP semifinals.
