Basketball great Moses Malone was laid to rest Saturday, with Julius Erving and Charles Barkley paying their respects at his funeral in Houston. It was Barkley, though, whom everyone wanted to hear.

The funeral for Moses Malone will be Saturday at noon at Lakewood Church in Houston. Malone, a Petersburg High School alumnus and basketball Hall of Famer, died Sunday at the age of 60.

Barkley was asked to speak at Malone's funeral, and delivered a very heartfelt message about the man who had such a profound impact on him. "I called Moses dad," Barkley told the room full of people.
