Shots were fired inside a post office in Midwood, Brooklyn during an attempted robbery earlier today, according to the NYPD.

An attempted robbery at a Brooklyn post office led to gunfire; the suspect fled on a moped, but no injuries were reported.

“Residents of DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights should expect significant neighborhood disruptions, including major street closures beginning at 2 p.m.,” the city says.
