Microsoft is getting rid of the VPN for both Personal and Family subscriptions just weeks after increasing the prices. The VPN is scheduled to to removed at the end of this month.

As of the end of February, Microsoft has confirmed that it will kill its free VPN feature from its Office 365 offering. The VPN feature that is available in plan’s Microsoft Defender app is used to hide IP addresses and encrypt internet traffic.

Microsoft 365 is ditching its no-additional-charge VPN, citing low demand as a reason. The move follows a historic price hike for the cloud-based productivity suite.
