In recent years, we have seen a plethora of AI music platforms emerge, including Meta’s Audiocraft, OpenAI’s MuseNet, Soundful, Soundraw, Boomy, Amper and Loudly, among others.

The new products aren’t Meta’s first ventures in AI. In August, the company launched AudioCraft AI, an open-source tool that can turn text into music.

Meta has been releasing many of its AI models to developers and researchers in a more or less open-source fashion. It recently put out AudioCraft, code that allows for text-to-sound generation.

AudioCraft consists of three primary models: MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec. MusicGen, backed by Meta-licensed music, facilitates music creation from text prompts.
