ONE of the biggest venues on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is set to make a comeback - after a two-year absence.
The university's McEwan hall and Bristo Square are being redeveloped in a £33m project which means the entranceway had to be removed. McEwan hall was built and presented to the University in 1897.
The 1,000-seat McEwan Hall was used as a festival venue for the first time in 2010. But the University of Edinburgh, which owns the building, is carrying out repair work on the hall's organ.
