Jake Evans, 17, has been charged with capital murder in the deaths of his mother and 15-year-old sister and remained jailed Friday without bond.

The law in Texas virtually assures this. Capital murder carries with it either a death sentence or life imprisonment without parole. And because Evans is 17, he can be charged as an adult.

The Weatherford Democrat reports that 19-year-old Jake Evans pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of murder in the killing of 48-year-old Jami Evans and 15-year-old Mallory Evans in October 2012.
