The care home applied to take part in the first-ever Rik Mayall Comedy Festival, launched this year in Droitwich, to give residents a platform to express themselves and challenge stereotypes.

It was the anarchic, violent, slapstick comedy that drew in millions of viewers in the 90s – and further cemented the legacy of its stars Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson.
